Our founding physical therapists, Wayne Troxell and Christopher Mohr, share a passion for seeing physical conditions and the overall wellness of their patients improve. Their goal is to help every patient preserve, develop and regain function. Christopher Mohr, MPT

Christopher Mohr, DPT, OCS
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist

Originally from Atlanta, GA, Dr. Mohr received his undergraduate degree from Mercyhurst College in Pennsylvania. After moving to California he completed his Master’s degree and went onto receive a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

A former collegiate soccer player and a recognized board certified orthopedic clinical specialist (OCS), Dr. Mohr has a true passion for treating both orthopedic and sports related injuries. A member of numerous national professional organizations, Dr. Mohr also acts as a clinical instructor for graduate students training as physical therapists.

Dr. Mohr currently holds a dual role within the organization with additional responsibilities that include business management and corporate development. His goal is to ensure the experience you receive with “team T&M” is comprised of clinical excellence and unsurpassed customer service.

Dr. Mohr currently lives in Fresno with his beautiful wife, Mindi and their three children. Apart from spending time with his family, he enjoys church activities, exercising, and coaching soccer.

Dr. Troxell was raised in the small community of Red Bluff, CA, where he developed his love for backpacking, fishing, and the outdoors. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and a second Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from CSU Fresno. He then went on to receive his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and is Board Certified in Orthopedics.

Dr. Troxell is an active member in several originations including the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy, Institute of Physical Art, as well as the Orthopedic and Sports Section of the American Physical Therapy.

He presently resides in Fresno with his lovely wife Sherri and two wonderful children, Mikaela and Andrew. His past time includes family, church, and anything Disney! He also enjoys cooking and the outdoors.

Sherri Troxell, MPT
Master of Physical Therapy

While her father was in the military, Sherri was raised as a “Military Brat”, and grew up in multiple places. She feels fortunate to have had exposure to different cultures and people throughout the United States and overseas.

Sherri received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina. Soon after moving to California she decided to further her education, and received a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from California State University, Fresno.

Sherri loves the art of physical therapy and enjoys her job to the fullest. However, her first job is devoted to her amazing family. Each weekend for her is filled with family time, friends and staying active! Sherri currently resides in Fresno with her darling husband Wayne, and two loving children, Mikaela and Andrew.


Shannon LaRose, Clinical Coordinator

Shannon grew up in Fresno and is a graduate of Clovis West High. She completed the first two years of her undergraduate degree at Providence College in Rhode Island before returning back home to California State University, Fresno. While pursuing a degree in Business Marketing, Shannon was a part of the Fresno State Women’s Softball team. Before graduating in 2008, Shannon was involved with Fresno State’s Sports Marketing and Media Relations Departments.

Shannon is our Clinic Coordinator and spends time in all three of our locations. Her objective here is to oversee all office operations and to maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers in our community. She feels the best part of her job to be the interactions she has with our T&M patients and team members. The heart of our company is our patient; Shannon feels this should be conveyed on all levels of the services we provide.

Coming from a family involved in sports and education, Shannon loves staying active and attending events to support her friends and family. Shannon volunteers at The Well Community Church and enjoys making handmade cards and snuggling with her pup, Rocky.

Sonia de Leon

Sonia de Leon
Patient Care Coordinator

Sonia was born in Visalia, California and has spent all of her life in the central valley. She graduated from Redwood High School and later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership from Fresno Pacific College.

Sonia has worked with Troxell & Mohr for seven years and has been promoted to a new role as Patient Care Coordinator. Her wish is to continue working with the company, communicating its commitment to our current patients while promoting the many services Troxell & Mohr has to offer. Sonia keeps an open line of communication between patients and their health care providers. She is also responsible for working on the development of professional relationships between our offices and physicians. Sonia is the mother of two and enjoys watching her son play soccer and shopping with her daughter.
